Story is a map. From this map we live our lives. Some stories, shaped by memory, are older and are passed through the generations with loving care. Other stories celebrate events or mark the changes that occur in our lives. Stories create a social network and help us to make sense of what is said and unsaid; storytelling is a fundamental means of communication. Our personal stories colour our world and sharing them can both entertain and explain. My stories describe my post retirement reality.Writing them has helped me to understand and inhabit this new world and to welcome the emerging strength of my creative potential with its own passionate desires to enhance my emotional and daily life. My inner journey, the noiseless return of memory, and connections all have their turn on these pages. Enjoy, and let me know what you think.
